Forget-Me-Not is surrounded by fantastic places to visit and there is a great range of activities for all ages.

Places of Interest, Alnwick Castle is only a short distance away, is renowned for its fabulous Water Garden featuring the dramatic Grand Cascade, beautiful scented Rose Garden and European inspired Ornamental Garden and your children can see where ‘Harry Potter’ went to school and learned to fly his infamous Nimbus 2000.

Sporting facilities nearby include two 18 hole golf courses at Linden Hall or Burgham. Inland watersports at Kielder Water or Woodhorn. For those who like more leisurely pursuits, there are selected walks and cycle routes close to the Park. For the more adventurous the rugged Cheviot and Simonside Hills give breathtaking scenery and the chance to see rare and interesting wildlife.

The historic castles and wide beaches of the Northumberland coast are not to be missed. Take a trip to Holy Island or visit picturesque fishing villages like Craster and Seahouses where you can take boat trips to the Farne Islands.

Don’t miss Hadrian’s Wall, a World Heritage site and the new 84 mile Hadrian’s Wall Path, with its Roman Forts and fascinating museums.

A great day out can be had at one of the many National Trust properties you can find dotted around the area. These include Wallington Hall and Cragside House.
If you have an interest in music or drama, both Alnwick and Newcastle have theatres with an outstanding reputation and are within a half hours drive. For those wet weather days, the Metro Centre has some of the best shopping and entertainment facilities in Europe.

The ancient Market town of Morpeth is only 10 minutes drive away. Here you will find interesting streets, attractive riverside walks and Carlisle Park complete with ruined Castle, along with good shopping facilities and leisure amenities, including the Riverside Leisure Centre.
