coast are not to be missed. Take a trip to Holy
Island or visit picturesque fishing villages
like Craster and Seahouses where you can take
boat trips to the Farne Islands.

miss Hadrian’s Wall, a World Heritage site
and the new 84 mile Hadrian’s Wall Path,
with its Roman Forts and fascinating museums.
A
great day out can be had at one of the many National
Trust properties you can find dotted around the
area. These include Wallington Hall and Cragside
House.
If you have an interest in music or drama, both Alnwick and Newcastle
have theatres with an outstanding reputation and are within a half hours
drive. For those wet weather days, the Metro Centre has some of the best
shopping and entertainment facilities in Europe.
The
ancient Market town of Morpeth is only 10 minutes
drive away. Here you will find interesting streets,
attractive riverside walks and Carlisle Park
complete with ruined Castle, along with good
shopping facilities and leisure amenities, including
the Riverside Leisure Centre.
